Been checking the sites, looking for deals on my future upgrade. While I am not doing GPU at this time, this seemed a pretty good deal, at first glance.
MSI 8800GTS $77, no rebates, free shipping

It looks more like a spindle of DVD-Rs to me.. stupid 1-day sales..

I also want another 640MB version.. I figured SLI was good for extending the life of older hardware when I built this rig, but now I realize that by the time I'm ready to drop a 2nd 8800 in, I won't be able to find the right one.

it's obviously a conspiracy...

Well, I never thought I would be trying SLI, but I am gonna try it, just to get a little more of my older card, and help till I can afford a better one. A second 7800, or 8600 should be under $50 used so, i figure it's worth a try. If for no other reason, a learning experience.
